YOU + ME = FRIENDSHIP

Browsing friendship quotes this week, I found one that was not only true, but funny: "Friends come and go, like the waves of the ocean. True friends stay. Like an octopus on your face."

The Class of 2018 has been together, give or take a sprinkling of new faces, for more than a decade. Through potty-training, runny noses, epic fails on the sports field, facing their first Big Exams in senior primary and celebrating dozens of birthdays, you've stayed true to each other.

Friendship comes in all shapes and sizes. We can't all get along, every day, but what you, as a class, have proved, is that being part of a team is far better than going it alone.

Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu - a person is a person because of other people.  Treasure the slideshow of your memories; and remember the people who were there to cheer you on (like loyal, sticky octopuses on your face).

Thankfully, nobody had eaten beans. Photos: SFC

MEMORY LANE

HAH! Those were the good old days. Grade 6 seems like a lifetime ago and Grade 7 is flying by as fast as rockets. Thank goodness we have photographs to jog our memories.

This is an example of how to blog about something meaningful or relevant to you. Pick a topic (in this case, school and friends) and then write about it. To make your blog INTERESTING, you may use images (pictures/photographs) or videos - but these may only be used with permission (you can't just take someone else's image) or have a credit added (see images below).

Choose a nice FONT too. Like this one, or perhaps, this one. Even this one could work.

Here's an example of how to use images in a blog post. I've grabbed a few photographs off the St Francis College website, and from whatsapp, and inserted them here.

END OF AN ERA

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" - Charles Dickens

We've been together for over a decade and supported each other through the highs and lows of growing up. We've laughed, we've cried, we've stolen each other's lunch. Above all, we have learned to understand the meaning of friendship.
